This was a shoot I did with S-Approval, A music Producer/Recording engineer. The idea was to capture an image that told the viewer life is a story that you are the reader and writer of.
I utilised my knowledge of lighting and creating shadows to give the image a moody effect, as well as my unique creativity to create the look of pages flying.
This shoot took place in the studio with trained dancer Caitlin, who has been studying and practising her craft for over 4 years. The goal was to capture her unique fashion and use her dance moves to bring the clothing to life. A way that showcases her personality and her passion.
Utilising soft boxes to light Caitlin and using a high shutter speed to freeze her movements in time, to give the look of air and wind and free will.
The aim of this photo shoot was to showcase the unique world of SFX and how it can transform a regular person's face into looking completely bizarre, done using prosthetics and make-up by an SFX artist.
This is one of the more technical shoots regarding equipment. I utilised a Beauty dish with a downwards angled placement, highlighting the facial features in combination with providing fill lighting & a snoot to accentuate her hairline and curls that added the extra pop to a final image.
